The Villa Matilde Avallone Taurasi DOCG represents the pinnacle of Aglianico from the Irpinia sub-region of Campania. Often called the "Barolo of the South," this wine is celebrated for its immense structural power, high acidity, and extraordinary ability to age for decades.

Villa Matilde, though deeply rooted in the volcanic "Falernian" territory of Upper Campania, produces this Taurasi to showcase the more austere and "continental" character of Aglianico grown at higher altitudes.
