Sodale, Merlot Cotarella, 2022

Sodale is a refined and contemporary expression of Merlot produced by Famiglia Cotarella (formerly Falesco). Hailing from the ancient land of the Etruscans in the Lazio region (specifically the Tuscia area near Montefiascone), this wine is part of the Cotarella family's mission to demonstrate that international varieties can express a unique, local identity when grown in volcanic soils.

The 2022 vintage was characterized by a warm Mediterranean summer, which in this region often leads to Merlot with exceptional ripeness and a particularly velvety texture.
